Mario Klaric
Dr. Mario Klaric's interests are in galaxy
interactions, galaxy morphology, and astrophysical
processes such as bar formation and star formation.
He has worked on developing computer models of various
galaxies. In his thesis work and a subsequent paper,
Dr. Klaric demonstrated via computer models that
stellar bars could be formed through internal disk
processes.
Dr. Klaric received his Ph.D. in 1993 from the
University of Alabama, under the guidance of Dr.
Gene Byrd. He grew up in Yugoslavia, where he lived
through 1986. He resides in Columbia, South Carolina,
where he teaches astronomy and physics, and continues
his research.
