Ming Sun

Ming Sun

University of Alabama, Huntsville

Dr. Ming Sun received his Ph.D. in Astronomy from Harvard University in 2008. He then completed research positions at Michigan State University (2005 – 2008) with with Dr. Megan Donahue and Dr. Mark Voit, formerly of STScI, and at the University of Virginia with Dr. Craig Sarazin (2008 – 2012).

Prior to coming to the University of Alabama, he worked asa scientist at Eureka Scientific in California. Since early 2014, Dr. Sun has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.

His research interests include galaxy clusters and groups, cosmology, galaxy formation and evolution, AGN feedback, high-energy astrophysics, SNRs, and data mining.
