Fiery blasts eat into the blackness
Fingers reaching out to
burst
The vibrant rainbow bubble.
Floating like a child’s
plaything
Flirting among the vivid
points of light
Pinholed in the sooty sheet
of night
Frozen in space strung
high as a mobile
Unseen, unfelt majesty
Unbeknownst to human ants
Continuing in their daily
humdrum lives
Do not dare to believe
in
The imagination
Of someone beyond their
mind’s eye
Someone who creates light
and sparkles
Shimmering
color beneath the surface
Of that one can see
This sphere of gas and
vibrancy
