Spiral Galaxies
Why are they there
Spinning in circles
Way out there
Can we see it from way down here
Will one ever be near
Will it ever fill our sky
How many years until it dies
Will its beauty ever get old
Lose its body and lose its soul
2 million or 13 billion light years away
Black, gray and blue are the colors it sprays
Spinning and spinning
No end to it turns, toward the ends
The color gets lighter and the middle stays brighter
But my questions are my
questions
And they will never change
Can we see it from way
down here?
Will one ever be near?
Will it ever fill our sky?
How many years until it
dies?
Will its beauty ever get
old?
Lose its body and lose
its soul?
