“Life is short and then
you die”
just like that star up
in the sky.
It explodes in outer space
Like some dreams blow up
in your face.
Gas escapes and floats
around
Like chances float around
the ground.
See its magnetic fields
swirl
Like the many hopes that
you hurl.
Watch the nebulas above
Like frying hearts and
dying love.
See the hate that floods
the earth
Causing death to clear
space for birth
This is that stars chosen
fate.
All living things die at
some rate.
This is how it has to be
–
Things must stop in the
galaxy.
So be proud of who you
are
Because deep down you’re
like that star.
