In May 2009, the astronauts of the Space Shuttle Atlantis visited Hubble to repair old instruments and install new ones. A team of astronomers, engineers, data analysts, image processors, and many others have been busily preparing for the release that would debut new images from an even better Hubble Telescope. Several of the Hubble Heritage team members helped with this "Early Release Observations" project, which was led by the Heritage Project team lead, Keith Noll. We hope you enjoy the images and we look forward to bringing you future stunning astronomical images from the Hubble Space Telescope.
